CDL Training in Newton, NC

I was one of the first classes of 2026. We had a smaller class, which is great for one on one learning and the ability to get more drive time yard time and observation time all three instructors that we had Phillip Ed and Rick were all wonderful instructors and very knowledgeable. I felt extremely comfortable having Mark as a test examiner. If you come through this school listen to your instructors. We all in the class wished that the yard course was on the pavement and not riddled with holes like the beaches of Normandy. A lot of the equipment is either falling apart or leaking a fluid. Due to the ice/snow storm the yard was extremely iced over or became muddy making training in the yard extremely difficult. The parking lot in the front is also quite small for larger class sizes along with the classroom. We got practice as landscapers by filling in holes and dirt and rocks. If you instructor is moving to fast feel free to them to slow down

My experience with TransTech Newton location was really good...great instructor that took the time to make sure we understood what's needed to pass to obtain our class B license.

They offered adequate training in all areas of trucking(backing, space management, driving in city and highway conditions), all staff from front office to trainers and examiners were helpful and accommodating. Good place to get your training for your CDL license

I had the best experience at TransTech in Newton, NC. Their instructors are welcoming, professional, and have years of knowledge/experience in the field. You'll leave here with the skills necessary to begin or move up in your driving career. Steven was my instructor here and he did an amazing job at making sure we were test ready. I definitely recommend coming here!

The trainers are top tier. Philipè (Philip) was knowledgeable and made learning fun. I do wish the practice/test field was more level. If you’re interested in touring The Grand Canyon, it’s is the middle of it. lol I loved my time here.

Great experience. Phillip is stern and good at guiding the sheep. Don’t be soft. If you can’t take constructive criticism good. It’s trucking not an office job. Ed is awesome!

I really enjoyed the CDL school and training. All the instructors I had have great personalities and fun to be around! Would recommend this location to anyone looking for CDL training.

Great instructors traing is very hands on and if you are have trouble with understanding they work extra with you
