Great school I was lucky enough to get one of the best instructors there John smith! 100% recommend you ask for his classes easy going and down to earth guy he knows everyone learns different and we not stop till you get it right.thank you Trans Tech and especially John smith!!

I would like to give thanks to Brian Combs. He was always professional and handing out knowledge. He definitely will prepare you for your CDL journey. I would also like to give a shot out to Mickey Simms who also is very professional and wants to see you succeed on your CDL journey. I had the best time attending school at Trans Tech my backing instructor Ms. Angie trained us the best technique on backing the off -set , by sing “little Richie sings really loud” !! I did exactly how she told us to do it and once I get out in the real trucking world I am gonna use that same technique to make sure I nail it and get it in those holes with no issues!! I want to thank all my trainers there and also Mr.Mickey for encouraging me to be the best and focus truck driver!!

Great experience. Team here really gives you all you need to know and are very patient when it comes to be being behind the wheel for first time manual drivers.

Good instructors very helpful

All the instructors are knowledgeable and capable of demonstrating their skills in the yard and on the road throughout the course. They are very patient and willing to explain any questions that you might ask. I learned a lot from my instructor Charles, also the course was very hands-on and I was able to pass my exam/road test. Thanks again for the opportunity.

Hello, I want to let you know about the instructors I had here at Transtech Winston Salem. I mastered my basic skills under vision of Brian… no words needed.. he is like an eagle, he spot every mistake from miles away and correct it in a way that you understand.. Brian, if you read this, you been best teacher I had.. then I had Chris that teach me to park in every position and under any circumstances are there.. my last spot is for Carey, he’s like a warrior, that guy took me to the next level, he made me a strong truck driver with no fears.. From the enrollment process to the beginning of class everything was great. Bryan and charles were great instructors. Took time to teache me everything that was needed to make sure I passed cdl exam. They were both all about making sure you were a safe driver

I have to admit going into school I didn't know anything about a semi, but having teachers like Charles and Kevin made it extremely easy. When I graduated I felt confident in driving trucks. The weekly recruiter visit made it better as well. But overall I'm blessed because they taught me everything top to bottom. Kevin still owes me steak and cheese eggrolls 👀 he knows who it is lmao #TT4L

Highly recommend trans tech Winston location! Lena is a great recruiter and easy to work with. She will help you get everything ready for training and will answer all your questions. If you can, ask for Charles as an instructor. He is the best you can get!

I was happy with all my training. I would like to thank you to all my Instructors, Exam (Mickey,Brian, Charles, Carey,Chris, Tim). You all are friendly and are professional teaching in all your ability to support students to become success.

Coming into this field as a woman I was definitely worried but all the instructors were extremely helpful and made me comfortable. They all have different teaching techniques so if one doesn’t stick you’re sure to figure it out with another method. When I didn’t pass a test, they worked with me on the areas I needed to focus on more and gave me the extra encouragement to get it done. I have since recommended this program to several people and will continue to do so. Thanks Trans-Tech!

My instructor was Charles. He took time to walk me through the parts I was having issues with, improving my skills in a fast and effective way. I would recommend for anyone trying to get their CDL to come here. It’s a short and fast program you will be amazed on how much you can learn in such a short period of time.

Transtech was a great learning experience. I left there fully educated and very pleased with the class. My instructor (Charles and Carey) was great at teaching and demonstrating detailed information to help us on the road. They are great at what they do. I recommend Transtech to anyone who wants to get into Commercial driving because these guys go the extra mile for their students.

I had some great trainers at Tran tech But one trainer stood out he took his time and help me master my backing when I was struggling his name is Charles he is the best but Tran tech is in Winston it is a great school to go get your cdl’s they taught me all I need to kno now im out here driving and doin great thanks y’all

I am a recent graduate of Trans Tech driving school. I would have struggled with obtaining my CDL license if not for instructor Charles Dent. He takes the time to explain instructions and he goes the extra mile for you. Charles has an extensive background in trucking which allows him to share a wide range of driving experiences with students. Charles teaches the CDL pretrip with a thoroughness that ensures the final test will be fail proof. I benefited tremendously from his assistance with maneuvering the trailer by his hands on approach. Trans Tech is extremely fortunate to have an outstanding instructor that shares his experiences and treats all students with the upmost respect. I give Mr. Charles Dent 10 stars!

Trans Tech in my opinion is probably the best truck driving school hands down. If you decide to attend Trans Tech , I highly recommend that you get Charles as your instructor. My experience with him was absolutely amazing. Coming in with not knowing anything or having any knowledge about trucks , he changed it in my 4 week experience. Not only that by my 3rd week of school everyone thought I was a pro. Charles is very patient and real helpful. His training methods are easy to comprehend as well. By the way thank you trans tech & Charles for the opportunity and changing my life .

I’m a diesel mechanic by trade and needed a CDL to road test trucks. The entire team was very helpful and kind. My instructor Charles guided me and the other students in our group to drive safely and efficiently. He showed us tricks with the double clutch method and how to safely maneuver a combination vehicle in traffic and on the highway. He explained, demonstrated, guided and evaluated us on all aspects of being a commercial driver. Really great instructor.

Trans techI would like to praise my instructor Charles for an extraordinary teaching experience. Today I did my test and of course I wouldn’t have made it this far without him. He was very patient, professional and understanding. He made me feel confident and comfortable in me being tested. I graduated the school April 22nd 2023 the time I spent there was very educational an the instructors were very helpful even with people who were not getting what they were supposed to be doing at all. All I can say is "look left, look right, an Thomas the train."

Just graduated. I had a wonderful experience with the entire staff. They were all willing to help me out throughout the entire process, from beginning to end, on having to receive my CDL. Along with the students in my group. One week with the online theory course and three weeks of training out in the yard has made me confident in commercial driving. I would highly recommend family members and friends to join in the same experience with TransTech.
