Wilmington is home to the Port of Wilmington, one of the most active ports on the East Coast and the closest major port to key points along the I-85 corridor including Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro, and Charlotte. The port handles containerized cargo, refrigerated freight, bulk commodities, and military cargo, generating consistent truck traffic in and around New Hanover County. The port is actively expanding capacity, including new intermodal rail infrastructure that will further increase freight volumes moving through the region. Beyond the port, Wilmington’s rapid population growth is driving construction activity, healthcare expansion, and retail distribution demand across the Cape Fear region.

My CDL training at Trans Tech(Wilmington Location)was a great experience..Ms Flo,Andre and Dean are great, experienced instructors..The learning part was somewhat difficult at first but the instructors made it a more easy and comfortable journey to achieving my goal..They corrected me when I made mistakes and pointed out the things I needed to improve on..I want to say Thank You for the support and not giving up on me..I highly recommend Trans Tech if your looking to become a CDL driver..

I originally left a negative review, but I felt it was only right to come back and change it because of Matt, Lisa, and Flo. I was honestly ready to give up on going for my Class A and switch down to a Class B permit, but they encouraged me not to quit and pushed me to keep going. That support meant a lot to me.
You can tell they actually care about the students and want to see people succeed. I normally don’t change reviews once I leave them, but these three deserved recognition for their patience, encouragement, and professionalism. Thank you again, Matt, Lisa, and Flo.

Last week we registered my son for Transtech CDL training. Not really understanding what was involved, I made an inquiry on their web page. I received a text advising me to feel free to communicate any questions we had with the process. I ended up communicating with a gentleman by the name of Matt, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable and helped us through the registration process. He also explained the process and the educational benefits of using Transtech. My son is excited to get started, and ready to start his training. Thank you Matt for all your help you made it easy and comfortable to manage the process.
